Carports a functional addition, just checked on two carports built last summer for two close friends and neighbours. They have both enjoyed a lot less snow removal as well as a drop in utility prices. Proper planning is essential as well as following municipal guidelines. Carports cannot have open sides and must be 48" from property line. We used helical piles on these carports with great results.

But my dad spotted an opportunity in a fixer-upper and offered to help with renovations. He took a month off from his job and we worked with two contractors to transform a rundown unit into a place we could be proud of. This is a before/after from it 🚽
