Happy Hump Day music fans. Let's get started.
As reported by SooToday Who Made Who, a tribute to AC/DC will be taking the stage at this year's Rotaryfest Sat. July 19th on stage 1 at Clergue Park. They are getting fantastic reviews online and are sure to be a hit with AC/DC fans. Online applications are also being accepted for local bands to participate in Rotaryfest. While tribute bands are fine with some people, I prefer seeing the real thing and would be even more excited if our local band(s) were the headliners in future festivals.
As summer approaches there are a host of bands criss crossing Canada as I have mentioned in earlier posts and now Kim Mitchell returns to the tour scene appearing at Bayfest in Thunder Bay July 20th. Don't miss the chance to hear him sing his iconic hits as Go For a Soda, Patio Lanterns, Lager and Ale and Rock and Roll Duty.

Rising Star:
Joe Keery, star of Netflix Stranger Things has a new album out called The Crux and you won't be disappointed when you listen to his music. You may have heard him before when he was part of Post Animal which he joined in 2015. He also has a solo career under the name of Djo, which you can listen to on all music streaming platforms.

Locally Grown:
This Sat April 12th Silent Nin9 will be rockin Northern Superior Tap Room 8pm -11pm
Tonight at The Whiskey Barrel Cameron Oliver. Perfect midweek vibes, no cover, great drinks, and smooth tunes all night long.

Joe Della Savia of Angry Joe and the Growlers was robbed of his guitar amp and pedal board while playing at the casino. A report has been filed and if anyone has info about this robbery please reach out to him or the police.

So until next time stay tuned, stay safe, and be kind.
