I've started rebuilding a 1941 Humphrey 'Motorbike'. It's rare to find a WWII era bike in relatively complete condition like this.
A Humphrey is a brand that most people will not recognize. It is a 'rebadged' CCM and made in Canada. It is a CCM frame and CCM parts.
I'm preserving all the patina, scars, dents and dings on this bike but bringing it up to a rideable and reliable state. Cleaning everything, rebuilding the hubs, headset, crankset, relacing the wheels, new tubes and tires, new chain etc. I found a more correct saddle in my bins for it as well that would have been more original as well.
I can't wait to get this bike on the road this summer.
Photos are of the progress so far and the 'before' picture in a dedicated house bike spot infront of the fireplace 🤣
