The Dodge Swinger was one of the hottest cars to come off the assembly line in 1970. It was a light weight high performance car powered by the famous 340 cubic engine. In its stock form it was the perfect vehicle in the drag racing circles. Local classic car enthusiast Gino Lepore was fortunate enough to acquire one of these high in demand cars in1970. He would be seen regularly at the 5th line drag strip and winning many races. He eventually sold the car but years later Gino would once again be in the hunt for another Swinger. Several years ago he hit pay dirt, finding this mint orange swinger but there is more to the story. This swinger was owned by the late great Tom Hoover, known in the classic car community as the Godfather of the Hemi motor.
