Classic and vintage vehicles take on many shapes and forms. One such vehicle is the Milk Truck that used to deliver milk to the front doors of local and country wide residences. Local home deliveries were popular up to the early 1980s that I can recall. But for various reasons home deliveries ceased soon after. The delivery and cessation of home delivered milk was
similar to the rise and fall of the full service gas stations. Local entrepreneur and philanthropist Vic Fremlin spotted in a farmer's field an abandoned and dilapidated Milk Truck in the early 1990s. The visionary that Vic Fremlin is, seen the remains of this milk truck not as a piece of junk but of a potentially fully restored vintage vehicle that would tell a story of the residential home delivery milk service of years past. Shown below is Vic's first fully restored Milk Truck. He currently has a second one that is undergoing a full restoration. How rare are vintage Milk Trucks you ask?………..There are only 4 Milk Trucks known to exist in Canada and Vic Fremlin owns 2 of them.
